What data do I share with JobScout?

Accepted Answer

Joining the pilot waitlist only asks for your email so JobScout can follow up about the pilot. The separate project-inquiry form is for a real job: it can collect your name, email, optional phone, project type, ZIP code, optional budget, preferred timing, a description, and up to six JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP photos. You choose which of those project details to submit; the form resizes photos before sending them for review.

Who sees my project information?

A project inquiry goes into the JobScout contractor-review flow. A contractor reviews the scope, location, timing, pricing context, and photos to assess service, travel, and fit before deciding whether to follow up. The inquiry is not a public directory listing and JobScout is not selling it as a lead to a pool of contractors. The pilot waitlist email is kept separate from project inquiries and is used for pilot follow-up.

How is JobScout different from lead-generation services?

Lead-generation services typically sell access to a volume of inquiries, often with a fee for each lead. JobScout is about what happens around a potential job: qualifying the request, deciding whether it fits your service and travel range, building a clearer quote, and following up thoughtfully. It is not selling a quantity of leads or charging you per lead.

No. JobScout does not guarantee more jobs, revenue, or a fuller calendar. The pilot is intended to find out whether a focused sales and estimating assistant helps you spend more time on good-fit opportunities. Your market, availability, pricing, craft, and decisions still matter.
